represents governmental, institutional and private clients from the Arab Gulf in connection with their investments in private equity, venture capital and real estate, both on a conventional and Islamic basis, and their commercial transactions in the United States and elsewhere. He serves as outside general counsel for certain of these clients, including in support of litigation, regulatory actions and compliance matters in the United States and other jurisdictions. He also represents U.S. parties in connection with their investment and commercial activities in the Gulf. In 2002 he organized and conducted with J.P. Morgan a two-day private seminar in Saudi Arabia, on the subject of Islamic private equity investing.Before joining the Wohabe Law Offices, he was associated with Shearman & Sterling. He is a graduate of Williams College and Cornell Law School. He is admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut, and before the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
